Bonus Section:     USB Power Switch.pdf         +12 Volt Power Switch

Here are free schematics to build Power Switch circuits.  Used with an additional outlet strip, it will turn your P.C. peripherals on after the P.C. front power switch is pushed.  Used for monitors, printers, scanners, etc. It is great for gamers with power hungry audio amplifiers.

The USB circuit will only work on older motherboards on which the front power switch turns +5 volts on/off. The +12 volt circuit gets power from an internal disk drive power connector so it works on any desktop P.C.

If you want to build one, most of the parts are available from Mouser Electronics.  The power cord plugs into a wall outlet.  The USB cable or D.C. cable plugs into your P.C.

Notes:

1.  Use at your own risk.

2.  Use power cord wire for the relay contact connections.

3.  For personal use only.
